Daren Wilson, born in 1979, lives and works in San Francisco. Wilson is an interdisciplinary artist who has devoted the majority of his studio practice to copying the still life paintings of Giorgio Morandi. The artist had created over 130 Morandi copies to exact scale which culminated in the exhibition Daren Wilson: After Morandi at Will Brown in San Francisco, accompanied by a catalogue by the same name published by Glass, house. The artist's focus has simultaneously been directed on ceramics. Wilson has created thousands of same shaped bud vases, each with its own unique glazing. These ceramics were on display in an exhibition at the Berkeley Art Museum in 2014.
